Important Notice – Back To Swimming Update

Dear Parents/Guardians and Swimmers

I hope you are well and swimmers are ready for a return to the pool!

Following the latest government announcement the club is able to return, at last, on Monday 12th April.  Below is a summary of useful information and a request for completion of health forms (online) as soon as you can please:

:: Restrictions/social distancing still apply as before
:: Masters cannot return until after a further announcement in May
:: Juniors age 17 on 31 August 2020, but now age 18, CAN swim from 12th April
:: Covid-19 Health Screen and Risk Awareness Declaration Forms MUST both be completed before returning
:: Session times and pricing currently unchanged
:: Anyone with an unpaid membership/session fee and no arrangement in place will be unable to swim as they will not be insured
:: Updated Club Guidance Book will be issued later this week
:: Pro-rated billing will resume on 12th April, therafter normal billing on 1st May.

Please find below the link to the Covid-19 Health Screen and Risk Awareness Declaration Forms which we have put online as one form in 2 sections – for completion by swimmers AND volunteers:

:: Complete BOTH forms ASAP – no later than 24 hrs before swimming!
:: Remember to click SUBMIT on the very last page …
:: One form per family, individual Master or volunteer
:: Include all names of those returning now to swim/volunteer
:: If anyone cannot return now, complete the forms later but BEFORE returning
:: If absent anytime due to holiday/illness complete another form BEFORE returning.

NO FORM = NO SWIM = NO EXCEPTIONS

These need to be completed for each swimmer and volunteer. The online form must be completed, as stated above, at least 24 hours before your first session so our volunteer admin team can process it.

If the form has not been received then you/your child will not be allowed entry to the session. Please pay particular attention to the Health Screen section as this advises what to do when illness does occur.

Please ensure your membership and session fees are up to date otherwise your Swim England Membership will not be live and you will not be insured to swim, so entry will be refused, unless you already have an arrangement in place or payment is received. Please email if you have any questions.

April training fees will not appear until 12th April (pro-rated for the month) and normal full month fees will restart on 1st May.  It takes 7 days approximately for direct debits to hit your bank account.  Bank transfers should be done on 12th April and any arrears cleared this week.

We realize this is to be done with less than a week to go – but I am sure you will appreciate we need to work with the most up to date information from the government and Swim England and in all other respects the club is ready to restart, as our volunteers have been busy during lock down.  We don’t set the rules but we all have to follow them!

The updated guidance booklet for swimmers will be sent via email later this week after a meeting with Everyone Active.
