Early season meets done!

After a blistering, and somewhat exhausting couple of weeks we have wrapped up on our early season racing in the pool.

We’ve been wonderfully hosted by Tadcaster York Sport Swim Squad, Doncaster Dartes S.C and Kingston upon Hull Swimming Club – thank you all clubs!

Today saw many swimmers experience their first meet, and you all dealt with it superbly – as did you first time parents too!

As a summary of this weekend in general over our last two days, we can be proud of the following;

– 40 swimmers entering the meets

– 145 swims

– 75 PBs

This equates to 51% of all swims were PBs. A fantastic return at this stage of the season, and I’m very very proud of all of our swimmers.

Specific to today, the brilliant effort has resulted in us coming 2nd on the visiting club score board! Well done team!

Also, as much as I hate to shout about my own, he deserves a mention; little Rozzer came top 9 year old boy today 💪🏻💪🏻

More valuable than stats and medals though, was the team spirit, the learning and the resilience shown throughout the swimmers all weekend. From first times, to 43rd times, DQs and picking yourself back ups, the way you all handled yourselves was a privilege to see.
