Two presentations for parents, swimmers and coaches will take place at the NER Swimming Championships 2019.
Where: The Denison Suite (at the rear of the spectator area), Leeds Aquatics Centre.
Both sessions will be led by staff from the Swim England Talent Team. No need to book. Just come along.
Sunday 12th May – The Performance Swimming Pathway Saturday 25th May – Practical Nutritional Advice for Swimmers
Both presentations will provide useful, up-to-date information and practical advice to help support athletes.
They will take place between the morning and afternoon pool sessions at approx 1pm to 2pm.

Kingfisher Swimmers Qualify for the North East Championships 
Congratulations to all of our Kingfisher swimmers & coaches who have achieved qualification times for the North East Region Swimming Championships in the Open & Age Group events to be held in Ponds Forge Sheffield & the John Charles Aquatic Centre Leeds respectively.
These championships are the pinnacle of our swimming calendar & are achieved only through the dedication & hard work of the swimmers / coaching team. Well done everyone.

Our qualifying Age Group Championship Swimmers are: Joseph Benson, Thomas Eblett, David Hope, Cory Tite, Eliza Hammond & Izzy Vasey.

Easter Egg Tombola – Wednesday 10th April
Your Easter egg donations are needed to make sure the tombola is a fundraising success ( held Wednesday 10th April from approx’ 6pm). Please bring to the front desk on Saturday or Sunday
Also, the raffle tickets are available @ £1 each

Congratulations To Kingfishers BLDSA Junior Champion – Mads Adams
Congratulations to our impressive group of open water swimmers.
Well done Maddy Adams on collecting two trophies last Saturday night at the BDLSA swimming awards. Huge respect for swimming over 30 miles in open water competition a fantastic achievement & thoroughly well deserved.
Congratulations also goes to Tom Reynoldson and Jane Sedman who also added to the trophy cabinet.

AMAZING RESULTS AT SPRING Yorkshires
Our intrepid group of Yorkshire swimmers made their way to Leeds and Sheffield pools over two weekends in February and brought home an amazing haul of medals, final places and Pb’s.
Competing against swimmers from all over the Yorkshire region in 44 races our guys won a very impressive 2 golds, 1 silvers and 3 bronze medals with 10 finals places in other events plus 23 personal bests and Northern Regional qualifying times.
Tommy Eblet Boys 12 years and over – 2 golds – 1500m and 800m Freestyle
Izzy Vasey Girls 12 years – 1 Silver – 50m Breaststroke and two more finals
Eliza Hammond – Girls 13 years – 1 Bronze – 50m Backstroke and one more final
David Hope 11 years – 2 Bronzes – 50m and 100m Backstroke and one more final
Joe Benson – Numerous personal bests
Grace Fox – Numerous personal bests
Cory Tite – Numerous personal bests
Well done guys you smashed it out of the park!!!!
For a seaside club with much less water time that many of the big city clubs this highlights the excellent coaching standard that goes into getting these kids to the peak condition at just the right time. Our thanks go to Jon, Kev and the rest of our great coaching and teaching teams for their ongoing commitment and planning. Not forgetting the long suffering parents who spent long, hot sticky days in both pools and several that help the coaching team on poolside as team managers
