Kingfishers Last Winter Club Night & Fun Gala – Wednesday 18th December !!

On this Night we will be holding a fun gala for all members to enter.

There will be trophies presented to the winning team members.

The teams will be made up similar to last year event with older squad swimmers looking after the younger swimmers within their teams.

Events will be original & varied but most importantly  fun!!

Please register your child’s name on the front desk so that we can plan teams in advance …..

 

Yorkshire Qualified Swimmers Xmas Programme

There will also be some additional sessions over Xmas for swimmers with Yorkshire Championship qualifying times. This is in preparation for February’s 1st/2nd/8th/9th Yorkshire Championships.

Selection will be by invitation only, qualifying swimmers will be advised by the coaching team.

 

  • Monday 23rd December  – 6:30pm – 8:30pm

  • Saturday 28th December – 7am – 9am

  • Monday 30th December – 6:30pm – 8:30pm

  • Saturday 4th January – 7am – 9am

  • Monday 6th January – 6:30pm – 8:30pm

  • The charge per child will be £30 in total payable upfront.

 

All club swimmers will return on Wednesday 8th Jan

Spring Yorkshire Swimming Championships 2020 – 1/2 and 8/9 February at JCCS Leeds and 22 Feb ( 50m Sprints) at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Closing date for entries is STRICTLY 10th January 2020!
( no late entries permitted, only qualifying swims/ swimmers can be entered) £5 per race.

Well done to all the Kingfisher swimmers, coaches, team managers & helpers who helped to make this weekends Gala a success. Some great swims lots of medals, pb’s, Yorkshire & NER times all round. Lots of smiling faces from the kids.

Our Medals Haul:

55 – Gold medals, 25 Silver medals, 19 Bronze medals & 4 speeding tickets. Well done Team Kingo’s.

No Swimming Club Sessions – Sat 14th & Sun 15th December

Please note that there will be no Kingfisher Swimming Club sessions on Saturday 14th or Sunday 15th December. This is due to the pool being used for the Scarborough Swimming Club Snowball Gala.

Good luck to all our members competing at this event.

We are preparing for our club championships & need your support.

We require help covering the various roles around the pool to make this club championships enjoyable for all our swimmers. If you can help by volunteering your time in any way it will be much appreciated.

The jobs/roles that need covering are listed below:

Please inform the front desk if you can help. If you have any preference to a specific role, please advise. For timekeepers training can be given as required.

This weekend see’s some of our Kingfishers swimming in the Yorkshire Swimming Championships. Good luck to all swimmers who have qualified, swim well, swim fast & more importantly enjoy the weekend….

Parents please see race details below & talk to you coach to check your races & arrangements for the meet.

In the upper age group we will have Joe Benson, Eliza Hammond & Corey Tite swimming. This event will take place later in the month on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th October 2019 Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield Short Course – 25 metre. Details will be communicated closer to the date.
