All members of the club are invited to the Annual General Meeting. As per the constitution only members over the age of 18 have voting rights.

WE HAVE TWO COMMITTEE MEMBER VACANCIES IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE CONSIDERED PLEASE PUT YOU NAME DOWN ON THE FORM POSTED ON THE CLUB NOTICE BOARD  & ASK OTHER MEMBERS TO PROPOSE & SECOND YOU, ALL NOMINATIONS TO BE PASSED TO THE HONORARY SECRETARY BY 10TH NOVEMBER.

IF THERE ARE MORE THAN TWO NOMINEE’S FOR THE VACANCIES A SECRET BALLOT WILL BE COMPLETED BY THE HONORARY SECRETARY ON THE EVENING OF THE AGM.

We are now taking entries for the next gala @ Everyone active Scarborough Pool. details as follows:

Entry to this gala opens on Saturday on a first come first served basis. Entry is open to all Kingfisher Swimmers. This is an A/B/C graded meet.

When selecting entries for this gala. The entries must first be validated by Jon or Kev (coaches) This is to ensure that swimmers can be guided on race selection to secure optimum swimming performance.

Once agreed please pass your entries to Shaun Vasey asap for entry into the event. Please email me on vaseys@hotmail.com & put Kingfishers in the title bar so that it stands out in my mail box.
All entries should contain swimmers Name, Age, DOB, ASA number, Selected Races with PB Times for each event. If you require swim times please ask your coach for guidance.
Payment will only be required when/if entries have been accepted.

Sunday Lower Development Group – Start Time Change

Please note that from Sunday 15th September the lower development group start time with Mags will move from 4pm to 5pm.
New start time 5pm from Sunday 15th September.

Bridlington Seaside Special Meet – Results

Some fantastic swimming at the Bridlington Seaside Special Meet by all club swimmers. This A,B & C graded meet was well attended by Kingfisher swimmers with 38 swimmers competing. Some great times & PB’s achieved along with Yorkshire & North Eastern qualification times. Many swimmers competing in their first competitive gala & performing exceptionally well.

Star performance of the day was Joseph Benson who achieved 8 wins from 8 events. Well done Joe !!

Important News – No Training on Wednesday 11th July for sessions after 7pm

No training on Wednesday 11th July for any of the sessions after 7pm. This is due to the world cup, work commitements & the race for life.

To make up for this we are extending the summer term by 1 week so last summer club night will be Wednesday 25th July. Saturday 28th and 29th will also run.

If England win on Wednesday the Sunday session may also be cancelled.

Channel relay fundraising gig, date for your diary, Friday 27th July,at the cask, 7 til midnight. Bob Walker booked for sound, £5 tickets in advance or £6 on the door. Tickets and line up to follow shortly.

Fundraising

Fundraising Update 

Our Easter fundraising raised a grand total of £596. 

Thank you to all the swimmers / families who donated tombola prizes and also to Our Co, Morrisons, Boyes and Tesco who supported us. 

Thank you also goes to Everyone Active who sponsored the huge egg for the raffle. 

Wednesday 18th April 6.30-8.30 Meeting Room @ Sports Village, Scarborough 

A parents / carers and masters ‘drop in’ meeting to meet Vicky, who is our fundraising secretary and to find out what activities / events are in the pipeline that need support from our swimmers and their families. This is also an opportunity for parents to share their ideas on future fundraising activities.
