Kingfishers Swimming Club – Channel Relay Swim (23rd July ’19)
After many months of training in preperation for swimming the English Channel Kingfishers have another successful channel relay team 13 hours 6minutes 29 secs a beautiful day in perfect conditions. 7 swimmers gave it their all and We are very proud of them. Maddy Adams, Claire Bamford, Tom Reynoldson, Owen Mahoney, Ellie Knight, Jane Sedman and Alex Sedman

Please meet at the Bridlington Pool @ 7:45am & report to the coaching team for registration.
Morning Session: Warm-up -Girls: 8:00am -8:25am, Boys: 8:25am -8:50am, First Heat 9:00am
Any swimmers that are only swimming the afternoon session please inform your coach & report to the coaches at around 12:45pm for registration
Afternoon Session: Warm-up –Boys: 1:00pm -1:25pm, Girls: 1:25pm -1:50pm, First Heat 2:00pm

Parents/swimmers please note & share with anyone who may have missed this message.
It is with great regret that we have to communicate that there will be no swimming session on Monday 8th July. This is due to unavailability of coaching team.
Swimming will however resume as normal on Wednesday 10th July.
This Sundays session 7th July is on as usual & will be another specialist session led by former International Swimmer & GB Coach Dave Legge.

This weekend has been one of the most successful ones ever for Kingfishers Swimming Club. The amount of pb swims, medals, fabulous races and speeding tickets has been extraordinary. All swimmers swam there hearts out and listened to the advice of coaches which resulted in some jaw dropping swims! Well done everyone ! Go Go Kingos !!

We hope you are all well and that you are looking forward to a fantastic weekend of fun and fast racing! Looking at the weather forecast, we could be in for a sunny weekend so we shall keep our fingers crossed!
We would like to make you aware of certain changes that will occur this year and also some new things we have managed to arrange.
Friday 21st June Timings
We regret to inform you that the first heat in session 1 on Friday evening will now start at 7.15pm rather than 7.00pm as originally published. Therefore the following times will now be in force:
Changing Rooms will be available from 6.15pm
Spectator Balcony will open at 6.15pm
Warm Up (Girls and Boys) from 6.30pm – 7.00pm
First Heat 7.15pm
Warm Up Timings: Please Read as there are multiple warm ups

Spectator Tickets
Spectator Tickets will be sold at the balcony entrance. These are priced at £5 per half day / evening and £8 for a full day.
A full colour official programme will be on sale at £3 each. You can also purchase tickets for our raffle and there is also a tombola in support of our free learn to swim programme.
Refreshments
Refreshments will be served on Saturday and Sunday from 8.30am. This year will be serving these from the meeting room in the foyer. The room we used last year has been converted into a spin studio so is no longer available. On sale will be tea, coffee, cakes, sandwiches, ice creams and lots more. The baguette service is not available this year so we ask that you purchase sandwiches etc. from our refreshment area.
We would request that you direct your members to our refreshment area as we are competing with the leisure centre’s own refreshment stall!
Swimzi Stall
New for this year will be a Swimzi stall on Saturday 22nd June. Here they will sell Swimzi branded hoodies, hats and other clothing.
Yorkshire Dales Ice Cream
From 10am – 4pm, Yorkshire Dales Ice Creams will have their van in the car park to serve you the best homemade ice creams this side of the pennines!
Sarah Preest Photography
New for this year will be a photography service by Sarah Preest Photography. She will be with us on Saturday 22nd June and is available for team and swimmer photos both in and out of the pool. From Sunday 23rd June, the photos will be available for you to view and purchase at a price of £4.50 each via her website. If there are any swimmers who do not want their photo taken, can you please let us know as soon as possible please
We are really looking forward to welcoming you all to what will be our 24th annual summer meet. We hope the weather is kind, you achieve new personal best times and that you all have a fantastic experience with us.

Wanted Raffle Prizes
Wanted Donations/Raffle Prizes for Our Up & Coming Ridings Gala
Do you have any unwanted gifts or can you donate any prizes that we can use as raffle prizes to help support our pending Ridings Gala?
If so please bring them along to the front desk at club night or pass them to any committee members before the 8th June. Any donations you can make will be much appreciated.
We are also looking for more volunteers to join our fund raising committee, if you can offer ideas, time or support please let us know.
Only by raising funds can we continue to develop the club & keep our running costs to a minimum.
Please remember we are a club run by volunteers so rely heavily on your support for our continued success.
